Sakya Trinley Ling has ben running since 1996 as a Dharma Activites Group in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia. Sakya Trinley Ling is incorporated as a non-profit organisation.

We have been told by members of the Tibetan community that we are unique because we organize, fundraise and participate in both Tibetan Buddhist Teaching activities as well as the humanitarian struggle and the fight for the cultural preservation of Tibet.

Our Co-ordinator of Sakya Trinley Ling, Shamana Yeshe Khandro was appointed by HH Sakya Trizin.

We have a core committee of 7 women who have developed four different arms of activity:

4 arm chenrezig
1. Hosting authentic Tibetan Buddhist teachers and masters, for initiations, teachings and retreats.

2. Organising Tibetan Buddhist Cultural activities, such as Cultural Festivals and Film Nights, to inform and raise awareness in our community of the need for preserving this precious culture and tradition.

3. Fundraising, through Buddha’s Pantry and Chai Stall, to raise funds for monks, nuns, and monasteries, both in Tibet and India, and for the rebuilding of lives in the earthquake torn town of Kyegu.

4. Providing therapeutic services through Compassion in Action, (CIA), as Tibetan Buddhist Psychotherapists.
Therapeutic services include: individual psychotherapy and counselling, couple and family therapy, group programmes for personal development. CIA also conducts trainings in
Tibetan Buddhist Psychotherapy, and professional development and supervision for professionals interested in what Buddhism has to offer them and their clients.

Our most successfull fundraising arm of Sakya Trinley Ling is
"Buddha's Pantry". Buddha's Pantry started with Chai and Food Stalls at local Festivals and Buddhist Events 7 years ago and has developed into a professional team able to cater for big events such as Buddhist Retreats, the latest being the Drubchen with HE Dzongsar Khyentse Norbu at Vajradhara Gonpa in Australia.
