Film Synopsis "The Unwinking Gaze":
Filmed over a period of three years, taking you inside the Titanic struggle of one of the great spiritual and political figures of our time, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, as he tries to lead his people to a peaceful resolution with China.

Film synopsis 'Meltdown in Tibet':

A Documentary that blows the lid off China's huge and potentially catastrophic dam-building projects in Tibet. The mighty rivers sourced in Tibet are lifelines to the people of India and South-East Asia; and Tibetan nomads are being forced off their traditional grassland habitat.

Guest Speaker: Environmental Scientist, Dr Simon Bradshaw, from the
Australia Tibet Council.

We are also delighted to welcome back Tenpa Dugdak from the Tibetan Community who will selling and signing copies of his book,
'My Tibet,' which is an extremely beautiful and unusual.

Sakya Trinley Ling has hosted many Buddhist Film nights in the mountains over the years, and this one will be the first to be shown at the
Katoomba YHA. where we will also be selling our famous chai and cakes, raffle tickets and have a dharma shop.
